Comissions OPEN – New Lower Prices!

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 26, 2009, 8:54 AM
My commissions have always been open, but I feel that stating it again, and with my aforementioned new lower prices, I’m hoping I’ll get some more interest. If nothing else, those who commissioned me at MFF and weren’t able to get their stuff because the artists alley closed early, can find me and get their stuff.

I lost my backpack today so I’m going to need the money especially desperately, just to recover the tools I use. Until then I’m using my tried and true if less convenient methods of arting, including digital color with the mouse, and scanned hand drawn/inked linearts (as a document scanner is the only one conceivably available to me at this time).

Without further ado, here are my new prices*. Example drawings soon to come.

$1 Pencil Sketches, these differ from completed pencil linearts in that they are much rougher, with little to no erasing of extra lines.

Badges include a headshot/bust/chibi and a name.
$3 Penciled Badge, while rougher than an inked lineart, these tend to contain a few more additional details and are truer to the life of the original sketch.
$4 Inked Linart Badges – Exactly what it says, the most important details of a drawing are inked in, the pencil lines are thoroughly erased leaving crisp lines.
$5 Color Badges- These are the inked lineart filled with colors and simple gradients.

Commissions are base line single character commissions
$5 Pencil lineart Commissions- 8 ½” x 11” pencil linearts, similar in nature to the pencil badge, only often featuring the entire body of a character rather than a face/bust or chibi full body.
$10 Inked Lineart Commissions – Again, much like the inked lineart badges, only taking up a larger canvas.
$15 Color Commissions- Filled lineart with simple gradient and background.

$25 Reference Sheet- Simple color drawing with up to three different full body poses and numerous thumbnails and descriptions of important details

*These prices are for full resolution digital files of single characters only, additional details like multiple characters, backgrounds and further rendering detail cost another $1 or $5 depending on the medium. Additionally physical items like Plushies, prints, and original linearts require shipping costs.

So another year and I still live! And unlike some of my posts, I'm rather cheery. Sure, I'm still in the whole a sizeable amount, between student loans and medical bills. Oh, and the ever harrassing unpaid credit card and the even more harrassing gas company. But, I'm working getting the best pay I've ever received and with full benefits (even if working full time means working FULL TIME, I get weekends, sometimes, when I'm not getting dragged into social obligations)

But, in the near future, I should be purchasing my first house, starting my own business, beginning to grow my own food, and MY GIRLFRIEND'S MOVING IN THIS SPRING! Omgz, I can't wait...

In the nearer future, I am planning my budget for Midwest Fur Fest this year. I'm looking at an optomistic $200, plus gas, and minus whatever I make in the artists alley. I expect in the neighborhood of a hundred bucks, but we'll see.

And in the less near but not too distant future there will be Anthrocon, by whence I intend to have completed my first Fursuit. Possibly two, I'm considering making my spare deer hide wearable, just to show off and perhaps sell...

So, yeah last year had some ups and downs, going to school in Ebensburg and being separated from friends and such over half the week and issues with my husband's ex were incredibly stressful, but in the end I graduated, I have a beautiful collection of dead animal friends, my husband came to his senses and crazy ex latched onto someone new. I sold some of my art for the first time and learned that I'm not a complete waste.

I have THA POWAAAA!

My electricity was shut off for about two weeks, hence my spotty replies. I am now properly electrified. Rejoice. Oh, and I have a new job. That makes me monies. And I make twice as much as what we have been surviving off of with my husband's shitty hours as a security guard. Expect me to start doing cool crafty art stuff. I am working on a big liopleurodon, to see how those teeth look. It will be rough mottled black and smooth silky silver.
